help with ad-hoc mode

I'm trying to set up a computer to computer (ad-hoc mode) network between my sony vaio z1-rmp and sony vaio sr31k.

The problem i'm having is when i click on properties in device manager for the wireless lan adapter on my Z1 theres no network mode in the advanced tab, so i can't change from infrastructure to ad-hoc mode

any ideas?

Try and setup an Ad-Hoc nework on the other device then enter its SSID into the Z1 wireless software, it may do the rest for you.
