How can I obtain Digital TV via cable(DVB-C Box) on my VAIO VGC-LT1S

The VAIO VGC-LT1S has two tuners which both support terrestrial not cable TV via Windows Media Player. Worked well with analogue but now the TV input is Digital. Is there an accessory available or software to support this as the VAIO makes a great TV?

Which DVB-C box do you have and which outputs does it have?

You can get a DVB-C External Box which connects to your Vaio through USB and this is probably your best bet. You can get them for just DVB-C or also for DVB-T and DVB-T2.

QBox CI models TBS5680 ans TBS5880 are worth a look - try Google.

Many thanks, most useful. My current external STB(cable) does not have a USB port unfortunately. Will consider changing it to one that has. Will research those that you suggested online.Will assume W7 Media Centre will accept the input data this way for TV operation.
