I have a Sony VAIO laptop which has been great but recently has started to freeze after I try to bring it out of hibernation. Sometimes it starts after 5-10 minutes sometimes it just goesa to a black screen. I have to hold the start button down to force a switchoff and then start it again. Laptop is a VPCEB1E0E.

Hi 87068278,
Amongst other things this can be caused by the graphics driver or third party software. I notice that there is an updated Intel graphics driver 8.15.10.2040 available from the support site. If you haven’t already done so I suggest that you first try installing this.

If you have already have this driver installed or that makes no difference then try a selective startup to try eliminating any third party software or service as the cause.
