i would know, how i can connect my vaio notebook vgn-a417s and my PS3 to see the PS3´s image in my vaio notebook monitor.
You can only do this if you have a TV card, plus the delay makes playing difficult. You're best using a normal screen and connecting wireless via internet for the best PS3 experience.
