Hello,
I would like to record audio stream from "stereo mix" with Windows Vista (it was easy with XP, but with Vista I don't know how to do...)
I go to "Sound" in the control panel, then I click on the Recording tab, right click on the background of the tab and select "Show Disabled Devices", but there is no "Stereo Mix"?
Have you got a solution?
Thanks in advance.
Hi AnnVAIO,
For reasons best known to themselves, Sony have permanently disabled the stereo-mix option on ALL Vaios running Vista.
I can only guess that they think they are reducing piracy. There is no fix apart from buying an external sound card. You could wire your microphone jack to your headphone socket but quality may be pretty awful.
ENABLING STEREO MIX ON CONEXANT SMARTAUDIO. FINALLY A SOLUTION THAT WORKS!!!
