How to stop the McAfee nag in VAIO Care

I have recently received a T series laptop.  It came, as it seems all PCs must these days, with a teaser AV installation.  I already have another product so I uninstalled the McAfee and installed that.  then I got a message from VAIO Care saying I need to download and run the McAfee removal tool....so I did.  But I am still getting the message ...anything else I am missing?
