Human Interface Devices

Hi there,

Hope someone can sort out my problem...None of the buttons in my new A317M notebook seem to be working...tried for a while...cydnt get it working tho...

the buttons i mean are the volume, brightness, mute, DVD eject button etc...on the whole the human interface devices are disabled somewhere....

pls let me know how to enable them all in one go...

Have you tried to reinstall the hotkey driver? You can find it in the "Utilities Package" which you can download from VAIO-Link. (click me )
Or doubleclick on the utils.EXE

Hi ya,

Thanks for ur info...it definitely hepled...and then all i had to do was to enabl the Human Interface Devices in the Startup Services....

but i m not sure how the Utils folder suddenly vanished from my C: drive...

And i ahve to admit that the Sony Technical Support is FREAKIN' BAD...they go on saying some crap as if they learnt the essay in a summer school...with the irony..me being a s/w engineer, she made me feel as if i m an illeiterate...
