I can't syncronise my Vaio notebook with an MDA compact PDA/smartphone

Hi all

I hope someone can help with my problem!
I have a new PDA/smartphone which is identical to the i-mate jam. I also have a new notebook running windows XP. The 2 units refuse to link via microsoft "active sync".

I know all the USB ports are working and restoring my notebook + resetting the PDA have not helped. The PDA is able to sync with a computer at work

The active sync window reads "connecting" but never forms a link. Are the 2 devices incompatible??? They cannot sync by bluetooth either!!

Is there an upgrade I can down load to fix the problem??

does your PDA had some sort of CD, software or driver that needed to be install in your vaio?
