Installing ram VGN-SZ1XP

Hi all,

I've got a VGN-SZ1XP with 1GB ram and have just brought another 1GB of ram. Tried to install it the other night but had problems getting it in.

Other laptops that I've upgraded before the 'holder' tilted up at 45 degrees to make inserting the ram easier but my laptop doesn't seem to do this?

Any body got any tips (screen shots) of how to install ram into a vaio? Don't want to force it in and wreck the machine!!

Hi anchovydesign and welcome to Club Vaio.

According to THESE INSTRUCTIONS it doesn't look like the carrier moves at all but you still have to insert the RAM at the usual angle.
