Internal Clock

The clock in my new VAIO notebook runs like crazy ! it loses 30 min every hour ... i keep updating with no real help ... anyone with some idea how to correct it ?

Welcome to Club Vaio

Sounds like the internal CMOS battery is on it's way out, this powers the semiconductor chip which regulates the clock.

It's no biggie to replace, but requires some dismantling, as well as replacing with the correct unit.

Any computer repair business should be able to help, not sure about cost, but can't see it being too severe.
