ya know, the letter on my 1 month old keyboard is starting to vanish..... i think they dont makes keyboard on the vaio laptop like they used to be...
the new keyboard look and sound like cheap materials, i still think my old vaio pcg-x18 keyboard is the best... doesnt make much noise when i type it and its look solid to compare to a317s. which kinda cheap.. what do you think?
I agree - the keyboards on the first gen VAIOs were quality keyboards, now they seem to fade away quickly.
*sighhh* Sony, what are you doing? Do you think we are stupid?
Doesnt want to open a new thread...
Btw from the day i bought this new vaio, i never hear any sound from the fan... dont know if the fan is running or not.. and sometimes when its really quiet i only can hear the sound of HDD not very loud tho, but never the fan... it is normal?:smileyconfused:
Mmmh, have you checked the temperature?
MobileMeter
The HDD......maybe I can't hear my HDD because the fan is to laud.
If you have a HDD from Hitachi, then you can download the Feature tool from the Hitachi site. With this tool you can configure the energy settings of the HDD. Normally the HDD in a laptop switch off, if it unused. You can't deactivate this feature, for example.

right i did check it before and the temp is about 54-60 C,
That is OK for a Centrino CPU. Switch the fan on, if the CPU usage at 100%? The best is if you ripp any CD or DVD. You must stress the CPU, then you can see wheter the fan works fine.
Water cooling laptops don't exist, and why? Because they'd be far too heavy!
Nice to have a quiet laptop for word processing and internet though
What is with Peltier modules? I think that would be much better in a laptop as the inefficent air-cooler.
Peltier modules?
