Hi & Welcome,

If shift 2 gives you an "@" instead of a speech mark it would seem your keyboard layout is set on US rather than UK.

Start/Control Panel/Regional & Language Options.

Hi Kaiser Coffey and welcome to ClubVAIO.

You have your Vaio set up to use a US keyboard - you actually have a UK keyboard.

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language ->

Make sure you have English (United Kingdom) in all three tabs.

Under Languages click on Details for Input Options and check you have English UK set for the Default and for Installed Services.

Enjoy your Vaio!

Glad it worked.

Pop back from time to time - ClubVAIO is not just support - we try to have some fun as well.
