Laptop Hard Discs

I have a VGN T1/XPL, the disc has started to cause problems and the laptop is out of warranty. Should I use Sony repair or go to a local provider. I am based in the UK

Usually your warranty is invalidated if a non Sony repairer modifies it but since yours has run out you have no problem there.

Personally, I'd opt for the local repairer as they are likely to be much cheaper.

If your certain its your Hard Disk,just buy another and fit it yourself.Just make sure it matches your mainboard spec.
