Laptop keeps switching off!!

I have had my laptop for about 2 years now. It has recently started to switch off everytime I turn it on. The battery is fine. I'm not sure what is wrong with it. Would anyone be able to help? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Assuming that the OS runs for long enough to do this, can you let us known the CPU temperature when it shuts down.

A utility such as PC Wizard will provide this information.

You could also try booting with AC adaptor attached but battery removed.
