Laptop to TV without s-video

Hi all,

My VGN-N38Z/W has no s-video. Can I coonect the laptop with the vga output to TV?
The cable VGA to Scart exist, but can a normal TV handle this signal?

Hi JoppeN and welcome to Club Vaio.

The VGA output is not compatible with most TVs unless they have a monitor connection.

You will need something like this converter to do the job!

This gives a S-Video and Composite Video output which can be connected to a scart adapter.

I do not think it will work without a converter box but at that price you can always try it.

I cannot Google in Portugeese - Try 'VGA to TV Converter' and see what you get.
