Latest NVIDIA graphics driver safe?

Because my VPCF11Z1E1 Sony VAIO laptop uses hybrid graphics, I have not been able to upgrade from Internet Explorer 9 to 10.  Might the very latest newly released NVIDIA graphics driver for my Geforce GT 330M card allow the upgrade to work?  My current NVIDIA driver is 314.22.  The latest NVIDIA driver is 327.23.

 

Has anyone with my IE10 upgrade problem found that updating the NVIDIA driver helps?

Follow up:  tried installing the latest NVIDIA driver but no luck.  IE10 would not install.  Still stuck with no help from Sony VAIO for owners of laptops with hybrid graphics drivers.
