Latest Realtek Audio driver for Win8.1 - do not install

Hey All,

Just rolled back Realtek HD audio driver from recently released / published 6.0.1.7177 to 6.0.1.7048 (SVF15A1C5E).

It's either not fit for purpuse or the installation itself goes awry (was reinstalling it twice before I gave up) - I was recently watching movies using external audio equipment and could not get any bass from these, whereas only week ago things were working fine.

The best test to perform if there's a problem is to watch / listen this:

Comparison with my Logitech headset (US, so using its own audio device driver) exposed the obvious. When I

rolled this back / used standard Windows one, things also went back to normal.

So SONY: please fix and do not roll-out untested drivers.

On that point: I have noticed that Realtek driver does not have any extended audio properties (loudness correction / bass protection - which I think it's permanently enabled and is the issue in the above). Is this normal? Has these been disabled by Realtek? If so, should I expect external Realtek Audio control panel somewhere (package from SONY is >150MB!)- I don't have any and even my 10-years PC does have one?
