Solved: Loosing pixels (VGN Sony Z720D) - Sony

Hi

I have a sony notebook (VGN Sony Z720D) and lately I've been loosing pixels on it's LED. Some parts of my screen is getting black. I really want to keep this labtop, but have no idea how to fix it. Is there any possibilities to fix these kinds of problems???

I appreciate your help.

As this USA model was released in 2009 I would assume that any warranty expired some while ago.

It would seem that you need a replacement screen and suggest that you contact one of the Sony repair partners for a quotation.

This might be a hardware issue. If you connect an external monitor, can you see parts of the screen that is black?

I would check my warranty for this to be sure.
