Memory Stick 1 GB Supportet at PCG-GRX316MP

I can not use 1GB Memory Sticks at my Notebook.
My Notebook is a PCG GRX316MP.

How I can use 1 GB Memory Stick with this Laptop?
Memory Stick with 256 MB work ok.

I use WindowsXP professional SP2

The driverdialog shows:
Sony Memory Stick Reader Writer

Microsoft 01.07.2001
Version 5.1.2600.0 usbstor.sys

I think you need to install new firmware etc. to enable you to read MS Pro. . The updates are at Vaio-Link

I never got it to install on my GRX316SP however.

Sony haven't released firmwared updates for older laptops with built in memory stick slots to enable them to read Pro cards. MY PCG-GR214EP is only restricted to 128MB 😞

Certain notebooks; the GRX series among them, have got firmware updates to support MS pro. The updates are still at Vaio Link in the Drivers & Updates area.

Go to VAIO Link open a new ask, they will answer all ur questions for FREE and they dont ask for warranty
