Memory upgrade/Ajout RAM ... VGN-A317M

I've got a VGN-A317M and I plan to upgrade the RAM up to 2Go DDR2..I wonder whether it's possible or not to do that.. putting 1 Go in each memory slot..does the motherboard allow that?

Your A317M supports either 'DDR2 PC2-4200' or 'DDR2 PC2-5300' memory modules and can use 2048MB (2 X 1GB).

You can buy your memory from CRUCIAL.COM - several Club members have bought their memory from here.

i wonder whether which trademarks of RAM are compatible for my computer.. are the Corsair compatible? because they provide a quite attracting price..

There have been some problems with Corsair and Vaios - have a look at this RECENT THREAD

I would stick to Crucial or Kingston (or Sony if you want to pay three times the price) which we know works OK with Vaios.
