Hi,
Just bought a 1G DDR PC2700 module from Crcuial. My computer originally have 2 x 256mb of ram. Should I remove both ram and install the 1G module or leave one 256mb in to make 1.25G ?
How do I know if my computer support dual channel or not ?
Thanks
I think that you must remove both RAM and install 2*512 modules to makes it 1gb, although you should seeCrucial for dull details.
Your system supports up to 2048MB in 2 banks of 1. This means that you can install one module at a time (to a maximum of 1024MB each) and leave the existing 256MB in place.
Thanks.
Just install the 1G ram in slot 1 (under the keyboard). Now showing 1.25G of memory total.
Everything is running fine.:smileylaugh:
i just installed 2x1G ram.. i think its better
