Memory upgrade! Help please

Hi there!!

I have a VAIO FS215S with two 256Mb memory modules, and I want to upgrade. Is there any way to install more than two modules of 512 Mb, like two of 1Gb? Or is it just not suported?

Hi Luís Martins and welcome to the forum.

Your model has a max memory size of 1 GB, so two 512 MB chips is the way to go….

This should not cause any problem as long as the two modules are compatible and have identical specification.

Good to know on the memory requirement. What's the best way of getting the pair of 512-meg chips?

I'm in Frankfurt, Germany, and really need the 1-gig of memory!
