Microphone input question

Hi,

I have an old Sony GRT916V laptop and it only has a microphone input on it. Is it possible to change the microphone input to accept a line level input?

That depends to your audiochipset and your audio driver.

Many drivers over some settings. Not so on my old VAIO.
