Microphones?

Can anyone let me know where the microphone is on VGN-SZ2M and how to switch it on and if there are drivers out there for it?

Hi markormiston,

The microphone according to user guide is to the left of the motion eye camera..

Have you checked the sounds and audio devices properties and also check that the microphone is not set to mute..?

Hi my vaio does not have the motion sensor camera, thats the model above.

The VGN-SZ2M Specifications say you have an "Internal Microphone" - unfortunately the manual does not say where it is!!

Have a look in Control Panel -> Sound & Audio Devices -> Audio -> Sound Recording
what microphones are shown in the drop down box?

It says sigmatel audio, but thats the same for the sound playback.

In that case, I don't think it has one.

Time to look at the external ones - they are better anyway!!
