I am not sure that I understand your problem. Are you having trouble with the volume control, either via Ctrl + Fn key, or (on some models) the volume control buttons.

If you can detail the problem a little further and also let us know your model number it will help us to provide assistance.

I think he's talking about the icon which is next to each drive or partition in my computer/explorer
Its the one that looks like a harddisk (grey square etc)

Are they not stored in the system32?
