Mobile Intel® GM45 Express Chipset

Hey, my vaio uses the "Mobile Intel® GM45 Express Chipset".
I often have a igfx driver error during games so i tried to download the newest driver from the intel page but during installation process it says that i cant use this driver and i have to get a driver from the manufacturer hp.
Can u help me or tell me how to get a new Display Driver for the Mobile Intel® GM45 Express Chipset!?

Hi Dom and welcome.

Most manufacturers try to prevent you updating the chipset drivers unless they have found a problem with the existing driver and they have tested a new version. Routinely they do not release updates just because there is one available.

A trick that may be worth a try as it used to work is to make sure you download the .ZIP version of the driver, extract the files and install manually. Sony disable the auto install .EXE download.
