Monitor Resolution ?!?

I have bought Sony VAIO VGN-A115B.

The monitor has resolution 1024x768 only.
It isn't possible?
How I can increase this resolution?
When the new monitor driver exit?

So the ATI Radeon 9200 turns out not efficient with only this resolution!!!

NO...
on a TFT it is not possible to go higher than the physical resolution...
because each pixel physicaly exists... on a crt its different because the pixels are created redundantly in the vacumed tube... just like it is not wise to buy a tft display with a high resolution and thinking that any resolution below would work or look as good as well... whenn you lower the res on a tft, the pixels are clottered together to function as one pixel and that makes your picture looked fussed out.
