My F Hotkeys are no longer working for volume, brightness e.t.c

Hi all

The extended function on my F keys on my sony vaio are no longer working and I cant find anything on the net to tell me how to fix it.
These control the volume, mute, brightness
It is possible I have turned it off with msconfig, but I dont think so.

Can someone help please

Hi Paul and welcome to Club Vaio.

Go to C:\Utils and reinstall the following Utilities IN ORDER by running the 'Setup.exe file in each folder: -

1. Utils Installer 1 SonyUtils DLL
2. Utils Installer 2 Sony Shared Library
3. Utils Installer Vaio Event Service
4. Utils Installer Setting Utility Series

You may have to install these more than once if it doesn't work first time.

Id you do not have these utilities on your Vaio in C:\Utils then download the Original Utilites Package from here: -

http://support.vaio.sony.co.uk/downloads/preinstalled/preinstalled.asp?site=voe_en_GB_cons&c=0&s=VGN...

Right-click on the downloaded .ZIP file and choose 'Extract All'. Choose to extract the files to C:\
