Hi, I just had a thought.
None of us like carting around the VP docking station for connecting to a PC etc. though today I wanted 2 print a few pics in work so took my VP with the pics on it.
It was only then that I realised that my Blackberry used a USB/mini-B connector (I even used this cable and the VP connected no problem with my PC) - thing is, it is used 2 power the blackberry!!!! Now why didn't SOny think of that? A simple connector straight into the VP that is powered of the mini-B cable.
Am I missing something?
Also got me thinking about the connector on the base of the VP. IS it a standard connex as well? If so, could there be any cables out there that can connect with it too? May help with powering up with the cradle, or allow us to get a smaller adapter that would connect on the bottom of the VP yet it would have the USB, a mini-B and an AV connection.
Any thoughts?
Yes this is right.
By the way, sony has made a big mistake not including a simple and portable usb cable like ipod and others devices.
For me this is the biggest problem of pocket vaio and this limitation seems a marketing stupid action.
For this and for incredible number of accessories available IPOD is better (what for CAR ADAPTER WITHOUT CRADLE???????).
Sorry Sony.
