Need To Replace Hard Drive & Upgrade Memory - FS-115B

I need to replace my hard drive because of unrepairable corrupt sectors and I thought it would also be a good time to go with 1 gb of ram.


What would be a good replacement for the hard drive?

I have also seen that Sony Vaio is very picky on the memory it uses.

What would be a good brand and specs to use?

The dealer where I bought my notebook (it is a FJ1S/L) said they've made good experience with Kingston modules, because they offer system specific memory...

however, if you want to be on the safe side, take the original sony modules - they may be a bit pricey...

Just searched at Kingston for your VGNFS115B and Kingston has a 512 MB module for it - the part number is KSY-V505/512
