Need updated drivers to play Rage game on VPCZ13M9E/B

I bought the Rage game via Steam platform, but when launching throws an error called GL_ARB_draw_elements_base_vertex not available:

Official support forums claim that is a graphic card driver issue. The problem is, that my VPCZ13M9E/B can't get driver updated directly from NVIDIA site, due to internal agreements.

All I can suggest is to contact Vaio Support and ask if they intend to upgrade the hybrid driver.

The Z1-Series Vaios have a hybrid nVidia/Intel HD driver which controls the Speed/Stamina graphics switching.  This driver is only ever going to be available from Sony.  You cannot use the driver from the Z2-Series Vaios because Sony switched to a AMD/Intel HD hardware combination after your model was updated.

You may be able to install a bang up-to-date nVidia driver and install it using a modified installer .inf file but you will lose the Speed/Stamina switching as a minimum and I am not sure what other drawbacks there are.  If you want to chance it, have a look here at the instructions and tutorials: -

I've heard that the dynamic mode (switching) can be disabled from BIOS, any idea?

the laptop2go drivers version won't install either, just shows:

The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit

Did you include the modified .inf?

You need to update the nVidia drivers to the latest version. You can also update to Windows 10 and get everything working again. Check here how to do it:

Sony Vaio VPCZ13M9E install Windows 10 drivers and software
