networking Vaio notebook to Vaio Desktop?

Hi,
having trouble actioning this. Does the desktop pick up the notebook or visa versa? Does the Desktop have the ability to network? It is the PCV RS502 and the Notebook is the PCG TR2. If you can help me I would be iternally grateful!!!

Actually none of the two is superior to the other - they are equal, even though the OS is different.

Please check VAIO-Link for an user-guide, as they have a pretty detailed one.

If you cannot find it, please reply again - then I will dig it out for you...

first things first....

how do you connect.... wireless or calbe???
how do you communicate.... router or direct???
are network cards installed properly
assign a common workgroup to simplify things
are you going over tcpip with or without netbios support

if you build it... he will come....

Hey Joe,

VAIO Specialist is what his nick says, he's a tech for Sony.
I guess the guys must have upgraded his moniker so he's in-line with the rest of the gang that helps out.
