have you had a problem with the built in card as if not then there will be no need to change it

The existing tv card is not digital and is why i upgraded. The new tv card won't work properly and i guess it's cause the plugs don't fit..Is there any way around this.?

What 'plugs don't fit'?

You need to leave the old Sony cand in your Vaio and ADD the Hauppauge card. If you take out the original, you will lose all your Audio/Video inputs and any other analogue capture feature. It is the Sony RealTime Encoder board that is necessary for the inputs to work.

The new card will not work with Vaio Zone - you will have to use the Hauppauge software that comes with the Hauppauge card to watch and record TV. Vaio Zone is not compatible with DVB-T Tuners.
