Hi everybody,
I've got one more question about my new PCG-K415B.
When I bought it, I saw on Dixons website (www.dixons.co.uk) that it had 64MB graphics memory and 512MB RAM.
But I just realized it has 512MB and 64MB goes to the graphics card. Wich means its shared.
I've tried to change it on BIOS but still de same...
So, my question is: Am I right or has something I can do?
Why don't they write it down on their website?
Because it sells itself better.
Yeap, I know that.
but sometimes they do write it down, as I could see on a Toshiba laptop at the same website:
"Graphics Card Type ATi Mobility Radeon 7000
Graphics Memory 64 shared mb"
One of the reasons that made my mind to a Sony was this 64MB "unshared".
I thought the same as I bought my PCG-FR315S. If you look now on the FS series, then you can see the same fake. (without the FS115B)
Sony sells these laptops with a "128" MB NVIDEA graphicscard with "turbo cache".
ROFLMFAO
This Graphics card has only 32MB VRAM. The rest is shared with the system RAM. LOL, and they called that "Turbo Cache". That's one of the reason why I don't want to buy a new VAIO.
I should have bought a Toshiba instead...
It was a Pentium 4 for the same price as this Celeron D
so make sure its stated 128mb VRAM next time you buy a new laptop?..
I'm sure I will!!
next time you buy a new laptop?
next time you buy a new laptop?
   you have said "laptop" not "VAIO". Yeah, I think "laptop" sounds mch better"
yep:smileygrin:
