Looking on the web, this topic has probably been aired before, but has anyone recently had an issue with a long term bios password being rejected and resulting in the infamous OTP screen.
I have a VGN-FZ11S which is a couple of years old and I had just upgraded it to Windows 7, without issue. It ran like this for a day and then I decided to upgrade to Norton (NIS) 10. After the reboot, it would not accept the usual BIOS password. I'm now one laptop down, until Sony Support (Business hours only!!!) decide to grant me the OTP.
My worry is this, what about my other VAIOs and the ones I have recommended or purchased for customers. Am I at some point going to have to go through this with those systems??
If I don't get a good and convincing answer on this one, I might just have to join the DELL bandwagon...
