PCG-FR285M: where have they hidden the CMOS battery? So that I can lose BIOS password; I,ve forgotten.

In the past when users have forgotten there BIOS password we have suggested contacting Vaio support for a BIOS release code..

So I suggest phoning Vaio Support, on Monday, as they will require information from your before supplying you with a BIOS release code.

Hi Thalamus (Brainbox?)

Your answer is much appreciated and although an option for a circa nine year old machine with 0.5GB of RAM which I intend to install Linux on I'd prefer to try removal (or brief shorting) of the CMOS battery ASAP before I lose interest and consign it to the bin. Again; much obliged.
