PCG - FR315M upgrade

I tryed hard to change my preinstalled OS - Home Edition to Professional. I never could return all my preinstalled software such as Norton security, DVD, etc.
Recovery disk is only for HE.

My question is: can I choose to upgrade OS to xp pro? What consewuence can that have concerning software, drivers. In FAQs on Vaio web site I found the answer that xp he and xp pro use the same drivers? Anyone please, who can confirm this?

When upgrading do i have to boot from cd?

In answer to your (repeat) question:
Install XP Home + applications from the Sony disk, then purchase and use XP Pro upgrade CD. Don't know if the drivers will work between versions and Sony have poor support for XP Pro...
