Dear all,
I have had a Sony Vaio PCG-GRT-816S for the last 7 or 8 years. Its running on XP Home Edition and as you can imagine it has had done a clean format a numerous number of times over the years.
The problem lies now when its taking time to do simple functions like opening up programs, general surfing etc etc. Its only used for 'normal' operation nothing too resource draining.
Am i correct in saying that the hard drive is now completely drained due to normal 'tear' and 'wear' or is there something else that could be the cause? Does the hard drive need replacing?
Please note that the laptop is not filled with junk and worthless programs. Its kept 'clean' internally.
Any advice is much appreciated
Rav
