I did the above Bios update for my Viao notebook VGN-FS115B. Bad news if you like to use power management settings for decreased brightness. Ever since this new Bios update my system has a very faint whining sound when using reduced brightness. Never had that with the older Bios version that came with the notebook.

You need to contact VAIO Link as this is a common problem, due to the inverter board in the laptop.
