Pioneer BDR-TD04

Hi,

Ive recently bought a viao which came with the above drive. I can only write cds at 4x using nero taking 15-20 mins a cd. Ive looked at various topics on here and other forums but all seem to be years old with no real answer. As far as I can tell all software is to date. Theres no firmware update on sony site and pioneer doesnt seem to list this model writer. My laptop is SVE1711C5E.

Thanks for any help

You are right, there is precious little information available on this drive.  Nothing on the Panasonic websites - looks like a China model???

However, there may be other versions of this drive and as details seem to be in very short supply, it may be better to contact Vaio Support and discuss it with them.
