I have some problem with my Sony Vaio GRT816S - P4 - 2.8 - 512RAM - DVD+/-RW - 80GB - WXP.

I can't burn a CD or DVD.
I don't know when the problem appears, but I remember that I made an update for my WXP(Home). Now when I turn on my sony the WXP don't display the home and the green signal became blue like a WXPP.

Can somebody come to me?

The fact that it does not show home or professional anymore in the start up screen is normal after you install SP2.

Have you been using the build-in burning function of windows XP or a specific burning program?

When you right-click the burner and select properties, is there still a recording tab?
If yes, check if 'allow recording on this device' is checked, if no it gets more omplicated ;-]

Yeah Microsoft decided to remove the Home and Professional off the start up screen, which is good IMHO

WXPH version 5.1, service pack 2.

What can I do else.
