Hiya,
I just bought a VGN-A417S about a month ago and yesterday one (or some?) pixels got stuck and are now bright green which is very annoying especially while watching dvd or tv. 
Does anyone know a tool to test the display and to identify how many pixels are corrupted?

As far as I know it's just as many as you can see. 1 bright green stuck dot is 1 pixel.
It's very bright and glares very annoyingly so it could me more than one actually. Dunno ...
You can test your screen with an older version of Everest Home Edition.
Type in AIDA32 into Google. I'm not sure, the latest version was 3.93 or 3.90
