power management defaults back to 25mins standby wtf??

hey guys and dolls,

I have a PCG GRT896HP, and for the time i have this laptop , over a year, everytime I set the power option control panel to not go to sleep after 25 mins when the laptop is plugged in.

Everytime I reboot, or disconnect the power and re-connnect the power, it changes the power control panel settings back to go to sleep after 25 mins.

This seems like some sort of bug, Can anyone expand on a solution as this is becoming increasingly frustrating, when i need the laptop to stay active??

Are you logon as administrator? Because, you can't change the powersettings with limited rights.

You need to adjust the Power Management settings using `Power Panel¿ not the Power Management in Control Panel. Right-click the Power Panel icon in the system tray and click Edit/Create profiles.
