Cannot Get this silly Keyboard open. Tried for several hours. Even at PC world they could not get the Keyboard to open up. Have tried and followed all of Sony's web sites and directions. We actually tried on 3 different Sony A series laptops!!!! HELP!:smileysad:
You need to unscrew 3 screw at the back of your laptop, the first is in the middle and the other 2 is just below it. Then you need to used a tiny/sharp screw driver and push back/upward between the Ctrl and Fn, middle of spacebar and down arrow.

here good luck, btw a317s is using 2x256mb ram, so if you are thinking of upgrading it to 1G you need buy 2x512mb and if 2G need 2x1G.
