I've noticed that Sony pushed an update, (Nvidia guard service), for all VAIO's having an Nvidia GPU.
I have a VGN-AW41ZF/B originally shipped with version driver 186.56.
I have updated the driver about 6 months ago to version 306.97 WHQL, (used a modded.inf file), without any problems.
I know that Nvidia added a security feature after the 310.xx drivers.
Do I need to install this Nvidia guard update or it is intended for original preinstalled drivers?
Also, if anyone have already installed it, it would be nice to know if there are any ill effects and if this update can be uninstalled via the Add-Remove programs method or in another way in the case that problems may arise.
