HI,
im wanting to add more ram to my V2S what type of ram do i need?
DDR-SDRAM PC 3200 (400MHz)
here is a Link to VaioLink.
I think the second slot is empty. Thats easy to upgrade.
Buy the same RAM, that was preinstalled on your VAIO.
use Everest Home Edition for this.
Start Everest Home Edition and click:
1. motherbord
2. SPD
There you can see the preinstalled RAM. And how many RAM modules are installed.
If you see only onle RAM module, buy the same and install this in the second slot. Look at my VAIO-Link.
thanks for your help.
i found this site which sell the right one i think
http://www.orcalogic.co.uk/asp/prodtype.asp?prodtype=9233&ft=m&st=3
the 512mb on this page should be ok, shouldn't it? ill just follow the directions on that link you gave and me put it in my second slot and that should be fine.

Î have found a sideDATA sheet of your RAM on the Infinion (PDF-file)
here is the Link to other RAM-modules. Where to buy?
You need a RAM like this
one. But excuse, this is a german side (alternate.de)
I would use an Online store in my nation (Germany or for others United Kingdom, USA,etc.).
But before you buy the RAM, look in to your Computer. Is it real this RAM or may be a other? Normally, you can find the name of the manufacturer on the RAM.
