ya know when i bought my vaio a317s its written in the techincal spec that it had 512mb ram.. and can be upgrade to 1024mb.. but the thing is THEY NEVER SAID ITS 2X256mb!!! which didnt left any space for me to upgrade it unless i take out the original ram, meanings i had to buy 2x512mb ram instated of 1. and what am i going to do with the original 2x256mb ram then?..:smileyconfused::smileydevil:
yeah sony ram is tooo expensive.. my old laptop i bought a kingston ram and work well too.. then again they should had left and extra slot for us to upgrade... this is very unconsiderable.. and they didnt even tell you they had used up all the ram slot.. in the spec duh..
Kingston and Crucial are the best.
Another thing that kept bugging me recently is the HDD... i know at first it didnt bother me much but now i am really curious to know..
its stated in my vaio spec that i supposed to had 100G HDD
but i check it out, my C: is 27.9G and my 😧 is 58.2G so total is.. 86.1G?.. then deduct 100G i am missing like 13.9G??? lets say 5G for recovery partition, i suppose to had atlest 8G more right?
any comment?
I think the recovery partition is closer to 10GB these days (2DVDs)
but when i do a recovery back-up on a cd-r, its needed 7 cd-r.. so i guess it about 5G+ right?
7 x 700MB = 4,900MB which is around 4.9GB
yeah, still i am missing around 8-9G because 13G-4G=9G... wonder why they put so big for the recovery partition?
Strange
Wonder if partition magic shows missing unformated areas on the disk?
hmmm dont will check it out... i think demo version will do right?
A freeware partition viewer will be enough
