When i bought my laptop last year one of the first jobs I did was to create a backup dvd, since then I have made 3 more, just to be on the safe side.
I had a spare moment this afternoon so I thought I would scan these dvds in Nero to check for errors, only 1 dvd was clear of errors the other 3 contained errors which would have made it impossible to do a system restore from disc
More than likely due to the crap dvd writer fitted to the Vaio.
Anyway a message for all, scan your backup dvd for errors, and if need be,burn another till you create one that is free of errors, before your dvd writer packs up completely.................
