Recovery Disks

Hi

I am going to buy a new Hard drive for my VAIO VGN-AR71M, does anyone know if the operating system from my recovery disks will work with a new hard drive?

Hi ritch79,

Yes the recovery disks should work with a new hard drive as this is the main purpose of the recovery media.

After entering the Recovery Utility select ‘Restore Complete System’ and then skip all other options until the recovery process starts.
