Cannot create recovery discs on my new SVE1511F1EB . Using DVD-R DISCS . Get error message after disc 1 (OF 4) IS ABOUT 50% COMPLETED, Iinstructions ask me to restart computer and start recovery again, AGAIN error after approx 50% - now wasted 2 optical discs. Help please

What is the exact error message you get?

Have you installed any virtual disc software before trying to make the discs?

You can try DVD+R discs from Sony/TDK/Verbatim - these seem to be the most successful - but if all else fails, phone Vaio Support and ask them for advice (or a set of pre-burnt discs).

I have installed other software before attempting recovery eg AVG, firefox, office, bbc i player.
